We invited 2 of our friends for the Wizard of Oz evaluation. In this type of evaluation, the users interact with the system that is set up in its most basic form. We, the developers act as actuators behind the scenes and help the users carry out the tasks listed in the next section and provide feedback for each action carried out. When the users perform these tasks, they provide us with feedback on what aspects of the system they found difficult to operate and also the ones they found usable.

For the TripleS system, the core tasks are based on the notifications sent to the user from the system (either through LED indicators, mobile notifications, web, etc.) and the product suggestions interface. We have designed the tasks around the same. The user is given a set of possible actions upon odor detection, including: viewing odor information (timestamp, location, etc), personally cleaning the odor, no action, and letting the system neutralize the odor by dispensing a fragrance. In the following section, the tasks are described in detail.
